This Alimed passive infrared system is similar to motion-detection devices.
An alternative to sensor pads, this PIR (Passive Infrared) alarm system provides simple, safe and dependable motion detection
to help manage patient care and fall prevention.
It is a state-of-the-art early detection and warning device that will give peace of mind to care givers. The PIR alarm has a thin, curtain like motion detector beam, which only monitors a narrow area beside or above the bed. When the beam is interrupted, the sensor detects motion and triggers the alarm*.
Cordless system eliminates potential tripping hazard or accidental wire pulls.
Features: Magnetic bed rail clamp, on/off switch, low battery warning light, chime or alarm mode, and reset button.
Maximum detection distance of 24' (7.3m). Alarm loudness of 80dB. 9 volt battery included.
*Note: a 10 second alarm delay allows the care giver time to remove her/himself.
